I freakin HATE the suns and Nash more than DirkN, but the Spurs just don't have the guns or the legs to keep up with them.

I hate to say it, but Tim Duncan is a DEFENSIVE liability anymore. Don't know if his legs are permanently shot, but if they are the Spurs need to retire him gracefully and get someone in to back him up/take his spot.

For that matter, our 3 pt defense tonight and the other night against the Suns was TERRIBLE.

Let's hope the home cooking takes guys like Dudley and Frye out of the games at home. Those two killed us tonight especially Dudley.

I agree. Tim looks old. His post game is inconsistent, his bank shot is now low percentage, and he doesn't make the plays on defense he used to.

As far as the rest go, the bench looks like bunch of dead wood. Nobody can come in and hit an open shot. Manu isn't himself. This might be a short series.

yeah the offense really hasn't been too shabby. but damn if they don't look like ogres trying to catch mice out there when on defense

Spurs ARE old. And Amare is really good.

All that is true, yet they still had a shot at winning this game. Traded too many 2s for 3s! Frustrating to watch.

I think Round 1 took too much out of them. 3 of the 4 Spurs wins were dogfights, and it was a very physical series.

I think the Spurs have a superior team, but Round 1 was a killer. Would have been the same story for the Mavs had they won. Like I said during Game 2 of Mavs/Spurs, the winner of that series was going to have a hell of a time getting out of Round 2.

Never thought I would hear TV people talking about "hiding" Duncan on defense.

Part of that is the Suns small ball, part of it was Duncan's lack of mobility.

Frye is going to kill us in this series if he continues to shoot the ball that way.

They are old and tired!
