San Antonio Lost, why congratulations to them?

San antonio is not the most worthless major city. Phoenix is. Aside from the asu girls it is worthless. I guess if you like the feel of a blow dryer in your face 3 months out of the year it is okay.

Phoenix sucks donkey ass, but San Antonio is hardly paradise. I'll take the dry heat over get out of my car and instantly look like I jumped in a pool heat

outside of that, they are the same city.

phoenix is where people who want to move to LA from the midwest/east coast end up because they realize they can't afford cali.

however, i lived in PHX for 2 years, and i loved it. you're within 2 hours from skiing, sedona, many gorgeous lakes and other great scenery. if you're into the outdoors PHX is a great place.

I'm not referring to whether it's "better" than other cities. By worthless I mean it's insignificant. It's a land locked city and isn't on a major river. It's major corporations aren't huge influences on the economy. Basically, out of the top 20 major US cities, it would be the least missed if it disappeared tomorrow. San Antonio is a historically significant city. Phoenix isn't.

Phoenix has hotter women, waaaay better golf, and skiing very close. Not to mention, they provide the gift of getting your degree on the internets while surfing for porn.

San Antonio = big-boned cholas, Seaworld, and Six Flags.

Final verdict: more people would miss Phoenix a helluva lot more than San Antonio.

I was at the game last night. Seeing the owners' sons celebrating absolutely made me sick. Phoenix fans were saying how they own the spurs (which in this year's case is true)which kind of peeved me as they somehow forgot about the last three meetings. Oh well, that's sports I guess.

One side note; seeing Steve Kerr excited really made me happy for him. Is that wrong?

I have to think Omaha, NE and Jacksonville, FL might be in that mix. Both have populations close to 1,000,000 with no major industry. At least JAX has a football team, beaches, and proximity to NASA. Not a very good city, though.

Phoenix is NOT WORTHLESS. If it were to disappear we'd have a major Meth shortage in this country.

It is also a very useful as the country's hospice facilities. Thousands of old people move there to die every year. I'm sure it's every geezers dream to see a sand storm in 116 degree heat before they meet their maker.

Oh, there is absolutely no water in Phx. Yet they've built so many mosquito lakes that it is the country's number one site for West Nile virus.

Number one sign the city in a bad place. Everyone points out how "close" they are to everything. Yeah, they're 3 hours from skiing.. or you could just live in Flagstaff. Your 3 hours from the ocean... but you have to goto Mexico to see that beach. There is plenty of hiking opportunities around the city. Unfortunately you have to do it at 5am or else you might die of heat stroke.

And again, congrats to all the MANY, MANY people that couldn't hack it in LA, Orange County, San Diego, etc, but still act like they live in Newport, Laguna, La Jolla while they tell you they actually moved to Phoenix because "they wanted to". I always love hearing that one.

I'm not sure about all that but I have visited Phoenix a couple times and I liked it alot. I guess I can't hack it in southern California but I prefer northern California anyway.

Looking at the cities themselves I prefer Phoenix to SA.

Phx is definitely nicer to visit. A lot of cities are nice to visit. I'm sure many have visited Manhatten and left saying "wow, that's really nice.. I could see myself living there". But in reality they couldn't live there if they wanted to.

I lived there for 2+ years and it wasn't terrible. But it's like many places, if you have money and can afford to live in the right place it's great. If not, you are screwed.

The city itself looks nice. That's what always struck me about the place, it's very clean and the sun is shining for about 330 days a year. Of course, many cities would look nice and tidy if it never rained there.

Phoenix is nicer than S.A. huh?????? If so, why is the whole place overrun by illegal aliens? Also, in case you have not heard, and I doubt they will attract tourism by saying it, but it is second only to Mexico City in the world for kidnappings.......you guys can have Peenix. That place is a big craphole.
