I like the guy.
Im a rocket's fan through and through but he makes me kind of like the knicks.
I just like how he goes about his business.

I'm a fan thus far. Let's see how he handles the offseason before making any real judgement though.

I don't know if he was joking but he said that his team will have to win the championship between the next 1 and 5 years. That is a little crazy.

His 60 minutes special was hilarious. First, he took them to a strip club. Then, they showed a model of a yacht in his house and he said something to the effect of:

"Oh yea, that's a model of my yacht. I'm not really sure where the real thing is."

"You don't know where your 45 million dollar yacht is?"

"No, I haven't seen it in awhile."

60 Minutes was pure awesomeness... but that was no strip club... that's how Moscow clubs really are.

I honestly think he's very good for the league and wouldn't underestimate him... though I seriously doubt the Nets are a playoff team next season, in the Finals in 2 season. You never know about 5 seasons down the line. The NY mkt area needs a huge injection of energy into it and he's going to bring it.

That dude is awesome. I am instantly a Nets fan. Read his bio on how he made money. Very Russian like and fishy. Hilarious acutally.

Dude has a 200 foot yacht and doesn't use it b\c it makes him seasick and doesn't have an idea where it is located.

I work with a few Russian commodity traders who, while don't have near Prokhorav type money, do have a nice chunk of money. More than anything, the one thing all of those guys have in common is that they talk a ton of crap... and have a tendency to tell a lot of very tall tales. They do lots of stuff to brag on themselves and are pretty cocky but if you ask them, they'll tell you half of what they say is bull****. That's Prokorav to a T. I guarantee you he uses his yacht pretty often still.

I guess what I'm trying to say is something with Russians, they tend to want to have Paul Bunyan like auras about themselves probably more than most other cultures for some reason. Because of that, a lot of them will stretch truths or say things that just aren't true or do things like bring 20 women into a party to flex nuts. The Russian culture itself is very unindividualistic unlike the US... so they have a tendency to go a little nuts when they get some power and start to become recognized individually... it'll completely shock me if he actually only attends 10 games a year like he says he plans to.

My friend said their was a video of him kickboxing.
My favorite quote from the espn article about him is that he does 15 hours work. 2 hours workout. and 7 hours sleep everyday.
and every so often he has a party thrown in there.
