Lots of interesting info here. DJ was a freak of nature. He was 3+ inches shorter than Shaq and his reach was .5" higher......with a smaller wingspan....the man must not have a neck.

The verticals are pretty interesting also......just to brag, my max vertical reach was 11'6" +/- in college and I am 6'3" without shoes.

That's not bad.

My max vertical reach was 11'7", but I reserve the right to change that to a higher number if another message board poster tops 11' 7"..

I'm 6'0". In my younger days, ten years ago, I could really jump. Could dunk like a fiend- 360s, alley-oops, etc. Could probably touch around 11'3" or so. Now, can't even touch the rim. Very, very depressing.

i am 5'8" and in my best could touch 10'6". but can't palm even a women's bball, so no dunking for me unless it was a tennis ball.

5'11'' and could dunk consistently (not in a game, alone with a running start off two feet. couldn't do it consistently off one foot for some reason.) Until I tore my ACL twice, but can still slap the net.

I'm 6'5 and I can only dunk reliably on indoor wood floors. I know it sounds weird but you get way more bounce then on cement.

It's pretty sad tbh. But at least I'm honest.
