danny ferry resigns in cleveland.

Maybe a concession Cleveland has to make for LeBron to stay? But that wouldn't make any sense because Ferry did all he could to suround James.

Danny Ferry may have been the most proactive GM in the league over the past couple of years. Not the best, but he damn sure tried.

I find myself wanting the same thing, and I'm not even sure why. I'm a fan of LeBron, but totally indifferent to Cleveland as a franchise. I'm a Spurs fan through and through so that's really the only club I truly care about, but for some reason I find myself wanting LeBron and Cleveland to all end up doing something that ends up being the worst possible case for everyone involved. What's wrong with me, haha...

Kobe kicked out only Shaq and Phil and still stayed in Los Angeles.

LeBron is doing all of this...without the backing of any rings.

I was hoping Kobe would run off Phil and Shaq, then sign with Sterling back in the day. That would have been hilarious. Buss would have committed suicide.

Maybe because you're like me and you'd like to see a change in the way coaches are handled in the NBA. NBA coaches are treated like garbage. Maybe it would bring a little attention to the problem if something drastic like that happened.

Everybody always talks about how great Jerry Sloan is because of the winning records and the continuity and longevity (and I agree...he's a great coach). But if he had started coaching in the late-90's or later, and had a Stockton/Malone type pair of talented players, he would have already been fired for not winning a championship. That's the new model. If you've got 2 star players on your roster and you don't win a championship within 5 or so years, it is all the coaches fault.
