Maybe because you're like me and you'd like to see a change in the way coaches are handled in the NBA. NBA coaches are treated like garbage. Maybe it would bring a little attention to the problem if something drastic like that happened.
Everybody always talks about how great Jerry Sloan is because of the winning records and the continuity and longevity (and I agree...he's a great coach). But if he had started coaching in the late-90's or later, and had a Stockton/Malone type pair of talented players, he would have already been fired for not winning a championship. That's the new model. If you've got 2 star players on your roster and you don't win a championship within 5 or so years, it is all the coaches fault.
