For those of you watching game 5, what the hell are the announcers looking at? There is zero doubt that the ball hit the rim on Ray Allens shot.

From the angles they were showing it was still tough to see. I was still 50/50 with it

Yea from the angles they were showing but before going to commercial that was definitive you could tell that the rotation of the ball changed. After commercial they never showed that angle again.

I thought that was a play where had the shooter been someone like Chuck Nevitt, the refs probably would have ruled it an airball, but since it was one of the greatest shooters of all time, they probably gave him the benefit of the doubt.

There is no doubt in my mind. I saw it hit the rim. It's not like this is a debate where maybe it did maybe it didn't, I'm straight up telling you it did.

Just to be clear, we are talking about the shot towards the end of the 4th qtr? If so, I think you might need to get your eyes checked Beerad

Judging from the reaction on this thread, it isn't so difficult to believe that the announcers were correct: it was close.

it definitely hit the rim as you could see the angle at which it bounced changed...even though i will agree it was slight but it did change angles and then hit the padding

didnt hit the rim.
