That kind of crap is what bothers me about the NBA. It is not only "what have you done for me lately", but "what have you done for me today". That's why coaches get hired and fired faster than a cast changed on Law and Order.
Nowadays, if you lose or are losing a playoff series, even if it is in the finals, you're seen as some sort of inferior also-ran that "has a lot of work to do".
If the lakers lose game 6, everybody and their uncle will have an opinion about "what is wrong with the lakers". There's nothing wrong with the lakers. They are just getting beat by a really strong team.
If the lakers win game 6, everybody and their uncle will hand them the trophy and talk about how Boston's big 3 are getting too old and their window is closing.
Overreaction is the norm.
