When I travel on business trips my Firm picks up the tabs for all of my meals.

When these players are on the road, they are on business trips.

yeah, but you dont have multi-millions in the bank for playing a sport.

If the poor guy can't get it expensed, I'm sure his accountant will get him the $200 or whatever it was come tax time.

I used to work with the Texas Rangers inside their clubhouse for 5 years and they got $65/day for meals. Many of them would eat fast food(Wendys especially) or they would send us to get takeout at Chilis, Black-Eyed Pea, etc. After the game we catered their meals from decent restaurants so most of them ate there for free as well as drink free beer. I wonder if when they went to bars after the game if all that was covered under their $65/per day.
