TWO max free agents to join forces with Rose/Deng/Noah? Wow. Can you imagine pairing LeBron and Bosh with those three?

With Derrick Rose, I'd rather have Wade and Bosh. I think Wade is better off the ball than Lebron and I want the ball in Rose's hands. The last Olympics showed that when you play with a collection of talent, guys that can play off the ball like Carmello and Kobe are more valuable than guys that always have to have the ball, like Lebron and Paul.

Isn't this the whole idea in getting LeBron in the first place? He knows he's got to have another all-NBA guy with him. Put those two with Rose and you have a real nice trio until it's time for Rose to get paid.

I can't believe that the Bulls found at least two teams willing to take on Kirk Hinrich and his overinflated salary.

But even just adding Bosh/Johnson or Amare/Johnson and that team is flat out nasty

LeBron grew up a Jordan fan and wears #23 because of MJ. Hell, he even suggested that all players league wide stop wearing #23 in tribute to Jordan. I get the feeling that he would really like to play for Chicago the way his idol did. It helps that the Bulls already have a great young nucleus and now can add two max FA's.

Looks like Deng could go to the Clippers along with the #17 pick for the #8 overall pick.

I don't think the Bulls make the Hinrich deal unless they are pretty darn confident they will land 2 max free agents.

I don't think D-Wade will be one of them. He took a few shots at Chicago's organization in the media a few weeks ago. Seems like he's staying in Miami. Of Wade, Johnson and James, I personally think Wade is the worst fit with Rose.

The Chicago Tribune published a rumor today of Joe Johnson wanting to commit to the Bulls early (July 1st). Then he could help recruit one of Bosh, James or Amare to Chicago with him. I think locking in Johnson would be smart for the Bulls. I don't want them to put all their eggs in Lebron's basket, only to have him return to Cleveland.

If we can snag Joe quick, I love the fact that Rose/Noah/Johnson along with Thibodeau will be able to team up and pitch free agents. A chance to play with those three has to be compelling for James/Bosh/Amare.

I said it during his rookie year and I'll say it now -- trading Deng would be the stupidest move they could pull. Dude is awesome. Surround him with the right talent and he'll be all-world.

Lu is an above average NBA player. Not much more, not much less.

Early in his career, I agree with you that he had great potential. As of a few years ago, Kobe wouldn't approve a trade to the Bulls because he didn't want Lu to be a part of the package.

But his game has changed. He's a step slower, his FG% is down and he has missed 10 games due to injury in his past 3 seasons.

To your overall point, I somewhat agree that the Bulls shouldn't just "give him away" like they did with Hinrich. Lu could start at the three if Johnson/Amare land in Chicago, or he could be a very nice sixth man if Lebron wears a Bulls uniform next year (I don't see Lebron and Lu starting together).

But I don't think he is (nor should he be) an essential part of the Bulls plans. And if they really do need the extra cap space, I would be all for moving Lu and not getting equal value in return.

Why? I think it may be LeBron and Joe Johnson, but I don't think LBJ and Bosh is too far fetched at all.
