His defense improved dramatically during the second half of last season. See the job he did on Kobe during Game 3 of that first round. His length on defense is going to be a problem for opponents once he starts to buckle down consistently.
Good for KD and good for the NBA. This is the kind of thing that sells to fans like me; players making a commitment to a team and not to their personal "franchise" or their ego.
Doesn't hurt that, by all accounts, he's a gym rat that is desperate to improve his game and his workout every offseason.
bunch of haters (jealous haters) on this thread. As much as I loved to jealously poke fun at KD while he was at Texas (deservedly), now as a OKC resident and Thunder fan the dude is impossible to not like. The guy is sitting on the bench watching and helping coach OKC's summer league team. How many other superstars do you see doing that? All this guy cares about in life is basketball, period.
Stan Van Gundy said as much about him being there for his team in Orlando. KD is all about family, team and improving. If you follow him just a little you will see those are the things he talks about all the time.
The national media is catching on, too. Simmons and Adande both have written that KD could be the most important signing this summer.
