I like the signing. They needed a shooter and they didn't pay too much.

Shot 54% from 3-point range last year. Damn.

I still hope the Bulls can sign defensive shooting guard type. I don't mind having Korver and Lu out there together for 15-20 minutes a game. But I think we also need a Raja Bell or Roger Mason type to run through screens with the really active, off-the-ball 2's.

A few ifs:

If the Bulls can add another banger or two for extra depth inside (probable)
If Derrick Rose can turn into a late fourth quarter assassin (possible)
If Tom Thibodeau can scheme to keep Lebron and Wade out of the lane and force them to take 20-footers a-la Kobe (if anyone can do it, it's Tibs)

If those ifs can come into fruition, I think the Bulls can beat the dream team Heat in a 7 game series. Yes, I am a homer. No, I would not bet money on that. But at the very least, I think we will be a very tough out for them.

I've heard he's a shot-blocker, but that's about it.

Not much other than he's a tall dude that blocks a lot of shots. I hope we can re-sign Brad Miller for cheap and add someone like Ronnie Brewer for some perimeter D. This team could be pretty salty. Not what I was hoping for a few days ago, but not a bad Plan B.

With Boozer and Korver, the Bulls are Utah East with Rose taking the place of Deron Williams.

They're almost like the Aggie Basketball of the NBA... haha.

They've rotated through alot of wing players through the years. Brewer, Giricik, Korver, Harpring, AK47, most recently Miles and Matthews.

At center, they pretty much have Okur.

I can seem some similarities between the two.

-Bulls will be much tougher down low.
-Jazz perhaps had a little more depth, though the Bulls are working to change that.
-End of the day, it comes down to Rose making big plays down the stretch and winning games. The record above isn't to shabby. But to get to the next level, you gotta find a way to win close games against the big boys when it's all on the line. I love Deron and I think he's at worst a top 10 player in the NBA. But he missed a few big shots down the stretch in the past 2 Lakers series. Hopefully D-Rose can make those shots.

I'm torn. I'm not a big fan of the Dukies, but we desperately needed some outside shooting. Redick and Korver definitely fit the bill. A defensive stopper would be nice, too. And then there is the back up center position. I know Asik should be with the team finally, but I wouldn't mind seeing them bring back Brad Miller too.

Agree with that.

And maybe by adding a bunch of solid pieces, we can set ourselves up for a big time sign and trade in February or next summer.
