DC means that there's a difference between evaluating achievements and current talent level... and projecting talent development and how it fits within the scheme of an organization.

Part of what makes Lebron so great is the fact that he is a rediculous gigantic, explosive athlete.

But ive never felt he had the scoring or clutch skills of Kobe Bryant.

Kobe is just flat out a good basketball player. His shooting, the mental game, understanding the game, his fundamentals, etc.


Shaq and James are just athletic freaks and that translates well for them in playing basketball (at least, when Shaq was in his prime)

Jordan played for three years at UNC before coming into the league, and it took him 7 years to get his firsat ring.

Bryant went to LA out of High School, but he was not relied on to carry that team. His first three titles would not have happened wighout Shaq carrying the team.

Lebron, on the other hand, came into the league right out of high school and was immediately counted on to carry his team. I have no doubt that Miami is going to win the whole thing this year, barring serious injury to one of the big 3.
