Lebron looks so insignificant in that picture. That confirms my belief that he can never be considered the best.

So Labron isn't Jordan, who cares. If he ends up with a fistfull of rings is that all anyone is going say? "But you didn't win one by yourself"

I doubt it. The young generation will still love the guy. My two tweenage sons have already declared the Heat their new favorite non-Spur team (despite my discouragements).

Honestly, the only part of this I don't like is the fact that LJ was such an Ohio stalwort. Turning your back on your hometown will never sit well with me. IT was also extremely cruel to do it on a primetime special.

The 'turn the back on the hometown' thing is such a LAME reason to dislike LeBron. He took less money to go somewhere that offered him a better job. Who cares? You guys act like professional athletes are somehow joined at the hip with a certain city. LeBron brought a lot of money to Cleveland, and if anything Cleveland owe's LeBron, not the other way around.

He went on TV to have a chance to explain his reasons for leaving so that he did not appear like a thief in the night limping out the back door. He also gave all the money to charity. WTF else can you ask of the guy?

Why not sit down with your team and let them know prior to going on prime time? Why a 1-hour special? Why not just scedule a press conference like everyone else?

The Boys and Girls Club was a nice choice, but he's still a complete dick

As has been said many times, it wasn't the choice, it was the way it was handled.

In almost every other case I'd agree with this. But Labron is literally FROM THERE. I know it's not technically his hometown but he's from less than an hour away.

I'm not saying everyone should agree with me. It has just always bothered me. I feel the same way when a kid from Brenham decides to go play for Miami. Sure, Labron doesn't OWE them but you can't say they never did anything for him. He was worshipped in Cleveland. He was the King and untouchable in that city.

You do realize that Lebron is a 25 year old kid and most likely had a very expensive PR firm telling him to deliver his choice on primetime. Huge mistake by that company.

25 is a kid?

He's been in the public eye for nearly a ****ing decade now. Publicists don't twist your arm.

The shat on this board keeps getting funnier.

LeBron, his sponsors, and the NBA won HUGE in this deal.

Unfortunately I agree. Stern wasn't too pleased about the primetime special, but at the end of the day the league will benefit from this.

I think people are wired in different ways. Most athletes like to go play for a guaranteed winner. We see that in college recruiting every year. Some athletes take on the responsibility to carry a franchise like Duncan or as we're seeing with Durant.

The part that I don't get is why everyone is blaming Cleveland for not winning. I watched those games and The King did not get it done either. I guess he'd rather be a role player.

Dude, LeBron has averaged 28pts on 47%fg, 7reb, 7a, and almost 2stls per game in his career.

In the playoffs this year, he went for 29pts on 50%fg, 9reb, 8a, 1.7stls, 1.7blks per game.

If you got a guy averaging nearly a triple double with 30 points, it aint his fault if they lose.

Larry Hughes, Mo Williams, Delonte West, etc.
