Look out Rockets fans, this could be really bad news. Scola is a restricted free agent, so the Rockets can match any contract he is offered in the NBA. But if Scola takes an offer to play in Europe, the Rockets can't do anything about it. He will remain a RFA, but he will be gone.

That would be a huge loss. I've been wondering what Morey is waiting on the re-sign him, but you have to trust that Morey knows what he is doing.

I smell BS. Scola's camp must be trying to create some urgency here. If no other team has been willing to sign him to a sheet then the Rox are really his only good option. What better way to create some leverage then to float a rumor like this.

Totally agree this could be true. However, the team is Panathinaikos, which is a team that usually goes after Americans. They are the rival of Olympiacos, where Josh Childress played two years.

They are kinda the Yankees of the Greek league.

But I sure wouldnt rule out Scola posturing.

He's letting the other teams in the league set Scola's value. It makes perfect sense.


I'm not worried. I don't see the Rockets getting outbid by a Greek team.

Scola and the Rocks agreed today.

Now all this is left is back up big, maybe Miller, maybe a trade or maybe ride with what they have and wait for a trading deadline deal.

Just not a a lot of solid bigs out there.
