Read on a Rockets MB that 1st round pick Xavier Henry is sitting out of Summer League play until he has a contract. Seems his contract situation is not so good because the Grizz owner is lowballing him.

I also read somewhere prior to the draft that Henry was one of the guys that was high on the Rockets radar. Seems like one of those kind of under the radar deals the Morey is famous for. Send Jermaine Taylor and a pick for Henry?

We don't need a Henry. Lets go get Whiteside from the Kings.

You can sign the rookie for 100-120% of the slotted salary. (They may be able to drop you to 80% of the slot.)

Nearly everyone signs for 120%. Some sign for 100% +incentives to make it 120%. Incentives cannot bring it to more than 120%.

If a player doesn't sign for 3 years after being drafted, they can sign for any amount (i.e. Splitter signing this year for 3y/10mm rather than the slotted 1mm.)

I disagree Bob. I think Henry could be a star SG in this league. Would love to pick him up to backup Martin and hopefully make Martin's $10M expendable in a year or 2.

Just another WTF moment with Heisley & Wallace.

Don't sign Rudy last October for 5 years $60 million-pay him $82 million now.

Trade for Ronnie Brewer, but don't extend him a QO to keep him restricted. Brewer wasn't going to accept the QO, and they always could have rescinded it.

Heisly ignored Hollins and Wallace's desire for Tyreke Evans or Stephon Curry, instead choosing Thabeet.

Thabeet and DeMarcus Carroll both got the 120%, but now they won't give it to their most ready to play draft pick, X. Henry....

If it wasn't for the barbeque nachos and cheap lap dances at games, it would be tough for me to keep on going to games to cheer for that team.

found this article hilarious, and indicative of why that franchise is the way it is (though, they did have a decent year last year).
