I'm surprised in the belief the Sun's rise and Utah's holding steady. And obviously he probably should have just put the Grizzlies at #7 above Denver.

Utah lost Boozer, Brewer, and Korver. Even with the addition of Jefferson, that's losing too much for 5th place. Unless they got someone else that I'm not aware of.

I think they are a couple years from competing for a playoff spot (perhaps like OKC). At that point, who knows how much DMC grows in girth and attitude.

Don't see Utah falling off with Deron Williams and Jerry Sloan still there. Al Jefferson is better than Boozer. Gordon Heyward should probably be able to do whatever Korver did and more. Raja Bell will be everything Ronnie Brewer was and maybe more.

The NBA is a grown mans game and ive seen too many pretty good young teams that were supposed to be the next great thing just fall off the map ala the New Orleans Hornets.

DMC has to be about 50/50 to earn a major suspension next year. That guy has the worst attitude I've ever seen on the court, and he is about to find out that he isn't the greatest player in the world. He couldn't take it when college players could play him well, how is he going to react when he gets dominated?

the problem with OKC is, they had EVERYTHING go right last year, most specifically with injuries. They still will win 50+ games, but it will be more difficult, and they won't sneak up on anyone this year. Remember even though they were the 8 seed, they were what, 2 games out of the 3 seed?

Well, my only prediction (which had nothing to do with playoff teams, incidentally) worked out. This season, several incidents resulted in Demarcus Cousins getting two fines, a short suspension, kicked out of practice once, and pulled from the starting lineup for a game.

I was at the grizz-kings game on friday and for several time outs, Westphal would have to pull on dmc to get his attention. It didn't matter if it was the grizz girls or beale st flippers, dmc could not have appeared less interested in what was going on in the huddle.

Well...for the thunder to have won 56 games (I think, don't have the numbers in front of me) and still potentially be the 4 seed is insane. Proud of my boys though for looking expectations in the eye and smacking them upside the head
