If his knees are better, $1.3M is an incredible deal for someone with his talents. If he comes in with a bad attitude and sucks it up, you don't worry about benching a $1.3M player.

^Revisionist my ass. I've been saying he sucks since he quit on his team in Orlando. I've hated him since before Day One with the Rockets. He's a bum that plays half-assed and to top that off, he's perennial injury risk.

Whatever, that's been the Spurs philosophy for the better part of the decade.

The difference is that they're proven winners. McGrady was the highest paid player in NBA last year and he's never been out of the first round.

It doesn't matter -- there is nothign wrong with teh statement. It IS impossible to play 100% for 82 games if you're carrying a team.

What does McGrady know about 82 games, he's never played 82 games in a season. His best is 79 and he averages 66. Lets not pretend like he plays 100% anymore either, most of the time when I've seen him the guy is pretty content to fire up bad jump shots.

Saying it was a good signing for someone of his talents is missing the boat by quite a bit. He hasn't been a relevant part of an NBA team since 2007-2008. That puts him three years removed from playing mediocre basketball. To think that we will be able to show up and give the Pistons anything is quite a stretch.

TMac plays 8 minutes in the pre-season and now he's got "tired legs"
