seems like an odd move and i'm not sure dampier won't get a better offer elsewhere.

even if you limit yao to 20-25 minutes a night, can't brad miller give you the other 23-28?

maybe this is just to give morey more flexibility to move jordan hill, if necessary?

Having a 7 footer that will rebound is even better. I'm not sure Dampier gives you that.

It makes sense. I've never liked Erika. But with limiting Yao's minutes and not letting Yao play in back-to-backs, it never hurts to have more depth.

How long until Erika gets pissed about being 3rd string on nights that Yao and Miller are getting the minutes and he throws in the "effort" towel. My guess is one game.
