...all the "new energy" in the locker room.

name and years pro:
Ray Allen, 14
Kevin Garnett, 15
Jermaine O'Neal, 14
Shaquille O'Neal, 18
Paul Pierce, 12

It's a good thing they have Rondo, that is going to be one worn out team come playoff time.

Particularly since the O'Neals haven't taken care of themselves much during their career. I'll be shocked if one or both of them isn't out of commission come playoff time.

10 years ago, that team would have been absolutely sick on paper. Right now, it looks like a roster that will struggle to a 50-win season and get knocked out by round 2. Too many egos that aren't as talented as they once were.

Shaq is so much closer to 400# than he is to 325#.

Glad they weren't listening to this news last night! Those geriatrics destroyed those kids from Miami.

Second round exit my ass. They will give anyone in the league all they want, especially once they get Perkins back. They may be old but they are deep (which is what you need to be with that many old players). I don't doubt a few will go down at some point during the season but they are so damn deep that it's not going to effect them as much.

Now if the Heat lose one of their three studs they all of a sudden are no better than any other two star team in the league -- of which there are several.

Showing up on the first game of the season is a lot easier than showing up in the playoffs. They do have a lot of big time talent, but there is only so much value to hiring the 1997 all-NBA team in 2010.
