What should we do?
Should we admit that we made a mistake? That we believed you? That we believed you were who you said you were?
All the way up until the night you humiliated our city and mocked our loyalty on national television?
What should we do?
Should we take the high road?
The road un-traveled by you?
Should we be insulted and disappointed that you ran away from home because you wanted to take the easy way out, because you weren't the competitor we thought you were?
Or should we ignore all that?
And you.
What should we do?
Should we show up on opening night and ponder what might have been, and what never was? Should we give you a history lesson? That we had the same number of championships the day you left as the day you arrived?
Should that matter to us? Should you matter to us?
What should we do?
Should we turn the page, and care more now than ever about the team, because you're not on it? Isn't this opening night a time to rejoice, because the events of the last few months have revealed to the entire country the bigness of us and the littleness of you?
What should we do?
