Aaron Brookes will be huge this season. He's playing for a new contract. He knows Lowry makes twice as much than him.

The big question is, when the 3's stop falling, can we continue to score and not go through the prolonged droughts that killed us last year

Brooks and Martin may have two of the fastest releases in the league

one the the Rockets don't have and I think they could use is a true shot blocker. Yao does change a lot of shots due to his sheer size. but the Rockets could use that true rim protector

I really hope Hill or Patterson can debelop as the season progresses because Hayes just doesn't offer enough offensively

agreed about Hill and Patterson. but I love the chuck wagon. that guy is a great post defender. but that doesn't mean I want to see him out there for the majority of the minutes down low

A few thoughts

1) Yao is slow, rusty, but he's still making a defensive impact. Offensively, he's got a loonngg ways to go.

2) Brooks and Martin are flat out dynamite. They also compliment Yao very well. He gives them that extra foot they need to get the open looks to hit at the higher percentage rate.

3) The second group of Buddinger, Miller, and Lee are going to be fun to watch. Unselfish, great passers, and can shoot from anywhere. However, the lack of a shotblocker/defensive rebounder is glaring when Yao goes out. Really hoping Jordan Hill can put it together.

4) Hayes is what he is. But, he's a stopper, not a regular rotation guy.

5) Ish Smith really reminds me of a young Aaron Brooks, I am intrigued by him.

6) Athletic 4's and 5's are going to give this team fits all year
