9 points, 22 assists, 9 rebounds. 5 minutes left in the game. Somehow ESPN managed to talk about this game without mentioning that Rondo has a season's worth of assists.

Finished with the triple double, 10/10/24. Usually 7 turnovers in one game is pretty bad, but his A/T ratio tonight was well over 3, which is elite.

Rondo is no doubt a great player, but anytime I see an assist number over about 15, I raise an eyebrow and go verify the the player was playing a home game. Sure enough, Rondo was.

His assists have increased every year and he averaged 9.8/game last year. His team has a lot of proficient shooters. I didn't see the game, but the occasional monster assist game doesn't surprise me on that team.

I'd bet he got a lot of easy assists (swing to Ray Allen or Paul Pierce on the perimeter) though.

thats impressive. my man westbrook had another solid game last night as well. i think he looks for the shot more than rondo, and definitely attcks the basket more. two really great point guards.

I have both Westbrook and Rondo on my fantasy team. I watched Westbrook throughout the FIBA World Champs and in the Thunder opener, he's a heck of a player.

You are right... but 24? I don't know about that. Maybe all were legit... but my inclination is that at least a few of those wouldn't be assists if they were playing in MSG. Funny that if you look at most individual assist records in the NBA, the vast majority happen to be on the player's home court.
