What I used to shoot the game, how I shot it and why I shot it the way I did and more pictures are all up on my blog: Houston Sports Photographer
I shot the entire game in horizontal orientation.

Birdman. I was chatting with Anthony Carter before the game, and he said Birdman goes to the tattoo artist pretty much every day.

Anthony Carter looks sad. He is a really nice guy.
Horizontal pics make better features. Which clashes with the NBA, a league of extrordinarily tall men. Love this shot of Yao, though. He is waiting in line for the layup drill before the game.

Really love Yao bending over so far to talk to a little three year old.

I think the horizontal makes a much nicer feature than just a vertical isolation. I find it more interesting.

Shane is about the most expressive player with his face. He is always acting up any contact like pretty much no one else in the league.

I really dig the stretch across the frame from both players.

OK, this is vertical, but was cropped from a horizontal.

George Karl is a beautiful man.

Fast break pictures are generally not as clean as bringing the ball up the court, but they have more drama.

Front row fan is not impressed.

He is so tall. Not sure he is even jumping.

Reputation call. Shane isn't set, but he draws the charge anyway. Also he dove about 10 feet after this contact.

Nene is into it.

My cheerleader shots sucked. Here is one anyway.

I can't wait to be traded to NYC.

Get that outta here!

Super scorer vs Super Defender

Al Harrington was on. He hit 5 threes.

Love Melo facing up against Battier.

Harrington nailed the game clinching three.

You can see the sweat coming off him as he jumped up in the air and bumped backs with Nene.

Al was very excited.

So was Melo.

Yao jumping + defender not jumping = awesome.

Brooks is not as tall as Yao. However, he looks a lot more like Chris Rock than Yao.

Wanted to get a lot of Scola. I got this.

Chest bump?
