I love the Spurs as much as anyone, but what the hell??

In the final 2 minutes of the game, they took 2 FTs away from the Clippers, called a T on them, ignored an obvious over-the-back on McDyess, and called a flagrant on Blake Griffin when he didn't even do anything.

Yikes.

they took a 2 pt basket away that they reviewed during a timeout. how is that bad officiating? they got the call correct. as for the flagrant foul, that was a bad call. the technical foul is apart of the new NBA "no tolerance" rule. Griffin apparently threw the ball at the official.

I felt like the officiating favored the Spurs all night.

The Spurs were the better team anyway, but the officiating was bad.

...and if that was the worst officiating you've ever seen in the last two minutes, you haven't watched much basketball. Games with worse and vastly more important calls in the final two minutes happen every year in the playoffs.

The flagrant call was terrible. They should be able to check the replay before calling those.

Could be that there was some hyperbole in the OP, but in the final 2 minutes, it seems like they were calling incredibly ticky-tack fouls on the Clips, and letting the Spurs do whatever they wanted. Whatever, the Spurs outclassed the Clips anyway. We're a better team. I just found it amusing, because there was some serious home cooking. The Flagrant and the Technical were both bad, bad calls. I guess reviewing a play and nullifying FTs is a new rule this year, because I didn't think they could do that, either.

I really don't like NBA officials. These new tech rules seem awfully easy to abuse.

You can nullify a FG if based on the replay the shot came after the shot clock expired. They also use the replays at the end of quarters to determine if they came before the end period. They can also take or give points based on a replay of a jumper near the 3pt line. This practice has been in place for at least one full season, maybe longer.
