I'm trying to round out my bench and we have limited number of moves so I need players who are best off for the long haul. After the flurry of trades in the last few days...I can have 4 of these 8 players. How would you rank them as far as overall value going forward?

Nick Young
Brandon Rush
Brandon Bass
Darren Collison
Mike Dunleavy
Beno Udrih
Spencer Hawes
Marcin Gortat

Dunleavy, Udrih, Rush, Bass, Young, Collison, Hawes, Gortat

Always take starters versus bench players whenever possible. Dunleavy seems to be the most consistent out of the group and he gives you decent points, rebounds, three's and assists. Udrih also has a good overall impact because he scores 12.4 ppg, 4.4 apg and 1.0 spg. Rush averages 30 mpg so he's also a decent pickup. Bass has a high field goal percentage which is a good thing but doesn't give you much upside at 11 ppg and 5.4 rpg. Young seems to have upside, but he only plays 24 mpg and scores 14.5 ppg. He's mainly a scorer and I usually stay away from them because that is the only value they bring to your team. I wouldn't take Gortat just because he will be coming off the bench for Phoenix.

The other guys aren't really worth mentioning and perhaps you should save your moves as it gets closer to the trading deadline because you might see some action there.

Also, look at the rookies that are available because at the end of the year they will become starters on lowly teams like the Grizzlies or Kings.

I hope this helps.

I'm in the worst bball league I've ever been in... all the stats are lumped into one "total points" category (so for example, at the end of the week the scoring will be 850-750 and the team with the most "points" gets a W in the h2h), which means there is no real strategy. No need to balance the roster, just pick up the guy with the highest point average.

I lasted 2.5 weeks before I got bored and quit.

The point here is that I know nothing about what any players are doing this year and wouldn't even if I were keeping up with my league.
