That was a great series. Manu would not let us lose game 7.

Ginobili was my MVP of that series. If I remember correctly Duncan won it, but Manu deserved it more, IMO.

Duncan won the voting 6-4 over Ginobili.

Manu averaged 21/6/4 on .507/.438/.738 shooting for the playoffs.

Duncan was at 24/12.4/2.7a/2.3b on .464/.713 shooting for the playoffs.

Yeah but you can throw the stats out the window. Outside of Horry's blow-up in game 5, whenever the Spurs needed a big play, Ginobili delivered (and actually, it was a great decision and difficult pass by Ginobili that set up Horry in game 5). Duncan actually had some pretty big gaffes in crunch time of that series.

No doubt Ginobili carried the Spurs through the playoffs that year.
