Dyess was wide open off of the pick and roll. But you can't blame Manu for trying to go for the win, given the fact they wouldn't have been at that point without him.

He just goes from being a player with awesome court sense to a complete dunce. All Spurs fans know Manu is can be Jekyl/Hyde sometimes. This particular time he just tried to take a shot while be essentially double teamed. Going for the win is one thing. Passing up on a wide open Dice rolling to the hoop is another.

Big baby, Pierce, and Allen shot a combined 70% or so on 40 shot attempts. It was unreal. And well over half of those were long range shots

Oh you guys didn't actually see it at all? OK, well Manu got the ball from dice on a pick and roll. Celts knew damn well who wanted the shot and doubled (no trap though) him at the 3 point line. His closest defender got pump faked and then Manu jumped, but Pierce just stepped up and had a very easy block. Manu just stumbled around on that play...it was awful.

What I don't understand, if you want to go for the win, why not put Neal in that lineup? I thought it was strange to have Bonner, Duncan, and Dyess in the final play of the game. They should have drawn an Iso for Manu. Either the defense stays honest and Manu has a good shot at a drive or he kicks it out to one of the shooters spreading the floor. Oh well. Boston just made their jumpshots tonight.
