Its not disrespectful. Its true. You guys are just too sensitive. No professional athlete worth putting on your roster is going to say "we walk into the gym knowing they are better than us".

It is a complement. "Those guys don't scare us just to look at them, but they are so good it is frustrating".

It turns out that apparently in the NBA it isn't purely about raw talent! Lee seems to have just grasped the fact that if you execute and play better than the other team you can win also! Let's face it as well, it's not like the Spurs are better than GS. After all, they have only beaten them regularly for a decade or so now.

Also, this thread is a perfect example of why the rest of the board doesn't like Spurs fans. Relax.

Seriously Spurs fans, it wasn't a dig or anything, everything he said was true. The Spurs take advantage of every little mistake, they execute well, they don't win on flare and athleticism, and they're old as dick...hence, they're boring but effective.

Exactly. Anyone would be crazy to suggest that, on paper, the Lakers are not the most talented team in the league. They are more physically gifted than the Spurs, and they are the biggest team in the league. Hell the lakers first 3 guys in their front court rotation are 7'0, 7'0, 6'10", and their starting SF is the same size as Dejuan Blair. Their size alone is imposing, and their versatility/athleticism is the best in the league top to bottom.

The Spurs on the other hand, have an extremely undersized PF with no ACLs, their 2-guard is white and going bald, and their backup PF has red hair and hardly ever enters the paint. Their backup C was the Center on on the Mayflower, and their franchise guy isn't much younger than that.

Knowing absolutely nothing about it, if I were to walk into the gym and see both teams, I'd want to play with the lakers. But at this point, in this season, that might be a mistake.

I've heard that Bynum measured 7'1" and gasol measured 7'0.5" at the olympics (both shoeless). This may not seem like much but consider that Oden and Bogut measured 6'11" and that most other guys listed at 7'0" are also shorter than that (7'3 thabeet is actually 7'1.25" gives you an idea of how dominant the lakers are as far as size is concerned.
