Take Duncan off the Spurs and they aren't much better than .500 (if even that high).

Kevin Love is a way more complete player than Blake Griffin at this point... which is really scary to think about. If he shores up his defense and mid-range shot even more, its filthy to imagine how good he'd be.

Have you watched Griffin play at all this season?

Blake Griffin has much better teammates taking away touches and rebounds.

I've watched him play a lot and he's fantastic, but he's nowhere close to a complete player like Love is. He gets by a lot on his pure leaping and athletic ability. He's a bad dude, but he's a below average defender still and his mid-range game is just ok. He looks to be a force down low... if he'd like to be for his career, he needs to improve his FT shooting some too. I know that sounds nit-picky, but when his tendinitis becomes an issue again or his knees give in a year or 2 (which I wouldn't rule out), what do YOU think will happen to his game?

Again, Griffin's awesome, but Love's better. If Griffin weren't on Sportscenter every night with a sick highlight, you'd probably agree with that too.

Sorry, but 21 and 15 plus 44% FROM THREE (top ten in the league as a power forward)? These numbers are as the second option in his offense. Are you serious.

I love Blake Griffin, but don't get blinded by the dunks. Better point guard, better shooting guard, more front court help, etc.

And Minnesota's record isn't that much worse than the Clippers'. And again, this can't be overstated: Minnesota's second best player is MICHAEL BEASLEY. That's all the help he has.

Right. Good numbers on a bad team. Minnesota is 11-37. 3-27 vs the Western Conference.

Whoa, whoa. This isn't a 2006 Kobe averaging ridiculous numbers on a garbage team or even a 2007-2009 Al Jefferson in Minnesota.

Out of the 22 players averaging over 20PPG, only Dwight Howard and Kevin Martin are doing with less shot attempts. Dwight Howard has shown two moves in six years and Kevin Martin gets half of his points from the free-throw line.

Love is good player on a **** team where he's not even the focal point of the offense. Hell, he didn't even get starters minutes until halfway through November.

And you don't run plays for rebounds. Like someone said earlier, he definitely isn't cleaning the glass with his quickness/athleticism.

I'm as big of a Duncan fan you will find. But to pass over Love AND Aldridge? Oh well. I'm not complaining, adds to Duncan's legacy.

Lamarcus will be the one added I think.

The opposing teams set up their entire game plan around stopping Blake Griffin and he still puts up those type of numbers. Love is a very good player but he's no Blake Griffin.

Look Griffin is a great player, but let's take the hands out of his pants for a couple minutes. So long as Eric Gordon is playing on that team, I can assure you... teams don't single-handedly scheme to stop Griffin alone.

In both cases, it's easy to put up great numbers on bad teams... hell, I'd take Aldridge over both of them, but Love is pretty clearly more effective on the defensive end of the court than Griffin is at this point. Griffin gets a lot of protection having Jordan to protect the rim too... Love doesn't have that.

Zach Randolph is more deserving than Kevin Love, but neither is deserving as LaMarcus Aldridge.

I believe the Blazers are the only playoff team that is above .500 without a player on the roster.

There are several players that arguably should be ahead of Kevin Love.

Zach Randolph is barely the best player on his own team. I would argue that Rudy Gay is more valuable to the Grizzlies than Randolph is. He's a better closer and defender and he basically relegated O.J. Mayo useless on the wing.

Randolph is having a great season, but Kevin Love is averaging more points, more rebounds, more assists, and is shooting better from both the free-throw line and three-point line. How in the world is Zach Randolph more deserving...

It's not always about stats, and apparently you are unable to comprehend that.

When you're the best player on a really crappy team, you are going to put up monster numbers, or at least a lot higher numbers than you would put up on a decent team.

ESPN just reported that Stern picked Love to round out the squad.

I'll agree Randolph is probably more deserving than both Love and Griffin.

I wish they would not do it by conference because I don't think Chris Bosh is deserving at all.

A)The Grizzlies went three years with 22,22, 24 wins. With the addition of Randolph last year, they actually got in playoff contention and added 16 wins. This year they are again at least a borderline playoff team.

B) Since last year when he joined the Griz, Randolph has put together the most games (11) of at least 30 points and 15 rebounds of any NBA player. Orlando's Dwight Howard owns the second-highest total with nine.

C) Randolph was January Western Conference Player of the Month. LeBron, D-Wade, Durant, D-Howard, and Deron Williams are the other/past winners this season. (Note: All are all-stars)

D) List of players who have multiple player of the weeks this season: LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, Amar'e, D-Wade, Russell Westbrook, Dirk, and Zach Randolph. (Note: All those guys are All-Stars)

E) This past week, Zach stomped down Kevin Love in head to head action.

I don't know about that. I have not watched Love play much but his stats are ridiculous.......
And Griffin is no more the focus of the opposing teams D as Love is.
