Rockets defense sux

This was official a month and a half ago.... this team is very frustrating to watch......Going to be interesting to see what they do at the deadline is Brooks on his way out? Will Scola or Martin be talked about? Will they try to trade Yao and his expiring contract?

Just read something from the Comical from their funniest writer Justice that Morey has made inquiries not only on Carmelo (Morey's wet dream for the last 6 months), but also CP3 (that would be my wet dream for this team), DeAndre Jordan, Varejao, Josh Smith among others.

Trade Brooks, Scola, and one other piece for CP3. Sign Deandre in the free agency, and win.

PG: Paul, Lowry, Smith
SG: Martin, Lee
SF: Battier, Budinger
PF: Hill, Patterson
C: Jordan, Hayes, Miller

That's not a very good team, IMO.

It's better than the current Rocket team.

I don't like the idea of going to battle in the West with Jordan Hill and Patrick Patterson as the 4's...

Patterson is going to be very good. He already plays like a bat out of hell, rebounds well, has a good feel around the basket, and can make a jump shot. As he gains experience we will forget Scola.

The difference between CP3 and Brooks is only slightly offset by the difference between Scola and Deandre.

People around here are all gaga for Deandre but he's nothing special. He's a 7' center with great feet that only gets 7pts and 7rebs per game. In his last 5 games, he's put up 6 and 4 in 26 minutes of action. On the other hand, Scola is one of the leagues most underrated players.

If you do the deal you are talking about the rockets will get absolutely killed in the post.

Jordan Hill will never have the polished offensive game that Scola has. He is a high-energy guy but he's no Scola.

I wasn't talking about Hill.

And Deandre is still very young and getting better every year.

I agree w/ Mass on this one. Jordan has flashes of brilliance, but not unlike his time at A&M, he often seems to play with his head completely up his ***. That's not good considering he's 3 seasons into the league. If he weren't an Aggie, we'd all see him for what he is: an average NBA center.

ive been very impressed with hill and patterson. they are still both very raw, but have a lot of potential i think. i dont think they would make good starting centers, but rather are definitely more of a fit for PF. that being said, they dont have nearly the post game that scola has i dont think. guess that comes with experience tho

An average NBA center is an upgrade over anything we have there now. And we would still have Hayes for defense.

I like Patterson a lot, but Hill... I think of him like I do Deandre Jordan. He plays hard sometimes and all too often plays with his head up his ***. I'd be worried if the Rockets grab D. Jordan just because I do think some team pays him a lot this offseason and he'll disappoint for the salary he gets.
