Kyle Lowry was 1st Team point guard, which I think is fair and accurate. Combine that with his 20-8-5 line from March and he has had a terrific year.

First team: Kyle Lowry, Houston (minus-7.79). Lowry may be the single most underrated player in basketball right now, and unfortunately we're only going to get to see him for seven more days since it appears the Rockets will miss the playoffs. Quick, tough as nails, with a great nose for the ball and impressive strength against bigger players, Lowry's enormous differential came with a wide variety of different lineup combos throughout the year, making it about as pure a rating as you could hope for.

The rest...

PG: Lowry, Paul, Rondo
SG: Allen, Brewer, Wade
SF: Iggy, Lebron, Pierce
PF: Garnett, Gibson, K-Mart
C: Howard, Bynum, Bogut

Oh, okay. Makes more sense.

Surprised Sefalosha doesn't make that roster though.

how much do offensive stats matter to picking all-defense teams?

Lowry is a stud indeed. Morey or whoever made the decision to ship Brooks is looking rather genius right now.

It doesn't. I said when you combine Lowry's defensive aptitude with his offensive stats from this year, it goes to show he's having an incredible year.

Chuck Hayes was classified as a center and didn't make it. He was a regular member of the PF group, previously.

ok. i thought you mean he was having a terrific defensive year and his offense had something to do with that.

This. Second best defensive center in the NBA (no homer).

Chuck is good, but he's definitely not better than Bynum defensively.

Holinger on the West playoff matchups (I figured it belonged in this thread as much as any other)

2-3-4 in West will go to final day, regardless of LA-SA result. Of 16 scenarios, LA gets No. 2 in 8 of them, Dallas in 7, OKC in just 1.

More fortune for Blazers. RT @warriors Curry day-to-day after suffering sprained right ankle

Of 128 scenarios, OKC-Den is most common pairing (88); only one that's in more than half. LA's most common opponent is Portland (48).

As quirk of playing Hornets on Wed., Dallas ends up with Blazers or Griz in twice as many scenarios as Hornets.

Spurs-Blazers now very unlikely; Portland would have to drop final two and have Hornets beat Dallas. Blazers looking at Lakers or Mavs.

Also, strategic tanking for Portland and Memphis likely a non-factor unless Lakers beat Spurs and Dallas loses early game on Wed.

Tomorrow's games will take 96 outcomes off the table, so I'll have more then.
