The Candidates thus far:
1) Dwayne Casey (Mavs assistant)
2) Mike Brown (Former Cavs HC)
3) Frank Vogel (Interim Pacers HC)
4) Lawrence Frank (Celtics Assistant)
5) John Lucas (Former Rocket)
6) Mike Woodson (former Hawks HC)
7) Sam Cassell (Former Rocket, Wizards assist.)
8) Mario Elie (Former Rocket, "Kiss of Death"
9) Jack Sikma (Former Sonic, Rockets assist.)
10) Kelvin Sampson (Bucks Assistant)
11) Kevin McHale(Coached Wolves, Former Celtic)
I really like Frank Vogel and the job he did with the Pacers this year. He is a young coach that does a lot of research/scouting himself and trusts his players to implement his game plans. He led them to a 20-18 record and their first playoff appearance in 6 years!
Most are saying the obvious go-to-guy is Mike Brown aka "Lebron's Doormat" but I am not too sure about that.
Come to think of it theres always this under the radar Lakers scout....
