Felt like a game 7 tonight, that was a highly competitve series, one I think will help harden (no pun intended) the youth of okc and is probably just another step in dallas' trek towards their first title. And for the most part, most of the dallas fans during this series cut the bs and had good discussion on the games.

Now onto the dilemma of who to root for, because I still can't get past pulling for a team I've always despised and some players I hate (despite dirk, respect the hell outta him), or root for the damned heat and have that crap stuffed down our throats forever.

Odds are dallas gets played up as a huge underdog, therefore I'll probably end up pulling for dallas.

Might as well root for us because you wont stop hearing about the heat for 10 years

Thanks. I agree with the underdog idea. If the Bulls win its Mavs vs the MVP; if the Heat win its the Mavs vs the preordained NBA Champs.

Great talent on OKC and this series should build some huge experience. Almost every issue from coaching to players could be explained by "needs more playoff experience". This is a good building block. They're like a younger more talented Mavs early 00s team in many ways. Several people described this as similar to Mavs-Kings 2002 round 2. I think that comparison held up well.

Make another move for another Perkins type veteran and hope that Westbrook keeps it together mentally and they're a favorite next year.

Who can cheer for a team that pulled those 3 superstars together, and strutted them out on that stage as if it were a guarantee they win multiple championships. Go Mavs!

I like the Thunder - unusual to come out of a series and actually still feel pretty good about the opponent. OKC is definitely going to be the standard of the west.

There will be a lot of knee jerking up here tommorow but this was valuable experience for the team. Looking back every game really except game 1 coulda gone either way.

CJS unless they are torn apart quickly due to trades/free-agency.

Fun series. OKC has a lot of great athletic talent, but I think they have a ways to go before they have a lot of great basketball players.

They'll get there at some point. A couple of good FA moves for some veteran leadership might get them to the promised land sooner rather than later.

It was good discussing basketball with Padz.

This felt more like a seven game series than a five game series. I'm glad the Mavs got it done this year because OKC is on the way up.

As for the finals, I believe Wade was just awarded five FTs forth start of game 1.

I'll be honest, I hope Dallas wins this year because they are not the future, Memphis and OKC are.

It didn't hit me till I heard just how young Durant, Westbrook, and Hardin are. That team is going to be a force the next coming years.

Good series. 4-1 doesn't tell the story of how close it really was.

No kidding. Durant and Westbrook will be 23 during next season. Harden turns 22 in August. With those 3 as the nucleus, + Perkins who's a better center than Dallas has ever had until now, there's no reason OKC can't compete for the WC title for the next 8 years.

This series shows why Dallas has to win now or they will likely never win with this group. OKC is only going to better next year and the things they did in games 4 and 5 that cost them this year, they likely won't do next year.
