I'm having a hard time figuring this move out..it makes sense that he would come over now so he could lock in his wages under the current CBAs rookie wages, but couldn't he make as much, probably more, if he stayed overseas?
At best, the money will be marginally better. I don't know of his endorsements in Europe, but I would imagine they're at least comparable to what he would get being the baby faced phenom he was over there, and the fact that he'll be in Minnesota now.
The way I see it is he either realizes he has peaked as a basketball player and wants to give the NBA a go while he can, or he thinks his style of play will translate to the NBA better.
From everything I've read since day one of Rubio, he is a gifted passer, but judging by the percentages it doesn't seem like his jumpshot has improved at all...the only player I know of that can't shoot for **** and can make plays is Rondo, so forgive me if I'm a little hesitant to think he can do anything w/ the crapfest that is Minnesota.
And yes, I caught the sarcasm of the thread.
