I really do not want to see Lebron get a ring, but it looks pretty inevitable at this point.

You do realize that you have to win 4 games, not 2, in order to get a ring?

Yeah up 2-1...that's pretty impossible to come back from. Don't even see a point in playing the rest of the series.

History would indicate that the Heat will win, as the team that goes up 2-1 in game 3 is undefeated.

However, there's a reason that it's a best of seven and not a best of three. Still lots of basketball.

Mavs have to win both of these next two...

That's extreme. Mavs are looking uphill, but it's not that bad. I feel better now than I did in fourth quarter of Game 2.

Not a Mavs fan, but you guys still have a lot of series left. I fully expect the Mavs to take game four and tie up the series 2-2. I also wouldn't be shocked if Dallas wins game five and goes back to Miami up in the series. This series has all the makings of a 7 game series in my opinion.

If the mavs win the next 2 at home, I could see it happening. But I have serious doubts they can win 2 in a row.

And I'd like to note that the Mavs have been the toughest team in the playoffs.

They were toast after they gave up that big lead in Portland, remember?

if the mavs win one of the next 2 the series would have to go back to Miami where it's been obviously EXTREMELY tough to win during the post season...

impossible, no, but probable..........

Get a life dude, seriously. Would you still feel the same way if LeBron had picked dallas in "The Decision?"

If Miami does win, I hope Wade wins the Finals MVP. He's a *****, but he's less of one than LeBron.

Dirk has been the best player in the series. He has outperformed both Wade and Lebron combined in the 4th. And the ****ing bench players are blowing it. Did not see this coming, but I guess I should have. No way Lebron continues to suck balls in the clutch. I just hope it gets to 6 games.

It's not even close right now. Wade will easily win Finals MVP

I like how all of the analysts were saying that the Heat were done after game 2 and now they're all saying that the Mavs would be lucky to win another game. It's a long series boys

And besides, it's not like the Mavs lost by 30.
If the officials would've made the correct call & disallowed those last 3 Heat points to end the first quarter, the Mavs would've actually won this game. That's how close it was. So no, this series isn't over.

Yes, they should not have allowed that 3; there were several calls that went against the Heat, however. If anything, the reffing in that game helped the Mavericks.

I don't think Dallas is going to win, they keep letting themselves fall behind by 10-15 and then fight back.

I guess Game 4 is it. I haven't seen anything that says they could beat Miami 3 times in a row.

Wade has been the best player in this series thus far.

Wade 29ppg 8.6reb 5ast 1.3blk 1.6steals
Dirk 28.3ppg 10reb 2.3ast 1.3blk .3steals

Wade is on course to be a two-time MVP.

Dirk is on course to be named an MVP to a losing team.

Bron isn't even a clear #3 in this MVP race.

Uh, Lebron has 20.3ppg, 6.6reb, 6ast, .3blk, and 1.6 steals

If he isn't running 3rd right now, who is?

Dirk has been the best player in the series, thus far. He's going to have to continue being the best player if the Mavs will have a shot.

Dirk hasn't been the best player. He is being outperformed on the offensive end by at least one guy, and by several on the defensive end.
Judge
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yes, he has. It's much easier for Wade to put up gaudy offensive stats when Lebron is pulling most of the double-teams. Dirk is getting doubled on half his offensive possessions and is still putting up similar offensive numbers, and is averaging a double-double.

Lebron has been the best defender.

Dirk has also carried the team in the clutch, on one miracle comeback and on one near-comeback where nobody but him was scoring.

The series isn't over but the Mavs have to take the next two. No way we win both in Miami. Dirk has been the best player so far with Wade nipping at his heels. Judge's analysis is spot on. Dirk has been money in the clutch. Everyone will point at his last shot last night and say he blew the game, if he hadn't have scored 15 in the 4th there wouldn't have been a game to blow. If the Mavs take it 7 games and Dirk and Wade both continue at this pace, Dirk should get the MVP IMO. MVP is the "most valuable player", and this series has clearly revealed that to be Dirk. Take away Wade and you have lebron. Take away Dirk and you have.... Well? Not much.

Mavericks didn't start doubling Wade until the second half. He was still a pain in the neck, but Mavs did a great job of shutting him down. I think he only made three baskets in second half. Mavs forced Bosh or somebody else to make a bucket. Unfortunately, they did.

I think Wade has been the best player by far. I was at the game last night and Dallas was doubling Wade everytime down the court and he was still carving them up.
I disagree on both points. First, you can absolutely debate that Wade could be considered the better player. But by far? No way. In two games, in the 4th quarter, Dirk has scored the final 9 points and the final 12 points for his team, one in a miracle victory and one in a narrow defeat. That screams MVP to me.

And the Mavs have been doubling Wade every time down the court? Were we watching the same game? Lebron drew twice as many doubles as Wade did.

At this point Wade needs to be the one who's getting doubled. We need the ball out of his hands. Marion has been doing a VERY good job keeping Lebron out of the lane. In one on one, I'd rather Lebron be taking the 20 foot jump shots because I feel like Wade is the better shooter, and he's certainly more clutch.

I agree I just said he deserves it. Whether Dirk or Wade is the best player in the series is debatable. The question as to which one is more valuable to their team is not.
Judge
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't think Dirk will get the MVP Award if the Mavs lose. I was just talking about the overall best player of the series after 3 games. Obviously that can change. Wade is an effing stud, and it pains me to say that.

It's probably just my Dallas homerism. What Dirk has done for a ****ty Mavericks franchise makes me love the guy, and I could care less about anybody else on the team, I just want Dirk to get his ring.

It's amazing that the Heat role players are dominating the Mavs role players. I thought that was our biggest strength going in to the series.

agree. the bench has let us down.

im not sure why carlisle isnt using Roddy B or Brewer. They are both suited for this defense with their quickness. Roddy B is a better shooter than barea and brewer can play d when peja cant
Judge
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Brewer, I agree. If we're looking flat, he provides instant energy off the bench, he plays 100%. He's certainly better than Peja right now.

Roddy B, I don't agree. I think he's a great player, but his digression into a turnover machine is exactly what we don't need right now. A TO against Miami is like sending Dirk to the FT line - might as well just put 2 points up on the board.
