I know that is conventional wisdom but no way Dallas wins in OT and another last second loss after a blowing a huge lead might have caused the Heat to crumble. I think it was Dallas's only real shot at winning the series. Should have used Dirk as a decoy and got someone else a wide open 3.

Not sure why you say that Dallas wouldn't have won in OT. They were definitely playing better basketball down the stretch than Miami was. Their defense late was pretty awesome and Dirk was starting to heat up.

there's no way that play gets drawn up for anybody but dirk, nor should it. he won you game 2 that way and it made perfect sense for him to be the one that forced OT.

haslem played good defense, but dirk got his shot off and he's made that plenty of times. just didn't fall this time.
