Granted, I didn't have the stomach to watch either Lakers vs. Celtics media lovefest series the last few years. IMO this is the best series I've seen since that great Spurs vs. Mavs series in 2006. Phenomenal effort on both sides.

D. Wade is a freakin stud. Best player in the league IMO.

And what did the Mavs give up for Chandler? He looks to be the heart and soul of the defense and THE key ingredient to making the Mavs go from good to great. Who knew? Put Chandler on the Spurs and they're in the Final right now. He might be the best big man pick and roll defenders I've seen.

I am a Mavs fan, but not a huge basketball fan overall, but if they could recreate this every year, I would love basketball as much as baseball.

It is not just the series, but all the incredible story lines with this series. Close games. Lebit*** hatred/love. Dirks fever now. Wade's rediculous games. Miami's great D. Game 2 come back. Close games. Kidd's/Dirk's/Lebron's quest for number one. Even taking my Mav's love out of it, this has been an unbelievable series so far

As a Mavs fan, this IS a great series, but I swear they're going to give me a heart attack! And then the final minute always drags on and on because each team calls timeouts and whatnot.

I will say that every bar with a tv is full for every game so that may be why the numbers are down. The city is very into it.

And there were also about 18000 people watching game 2 at the AAC.

Great games? Not really. Great final 5 minutes? Absolutely. As a non-fan of either team, I sort of wonder if this is how non-Rockets/Knicks fans felt in 1994. The games all had rough scores, but tremendous last 5 minutes for the most part.
