He hasn't confirmed anything and said that even if he did he wouldn't report it because it is of a personal nature unrelated to basketball. My first ressponse was that SAS is just making excuses for his friend and that there are no personal issues affecting LeBron. My second response was "I wonder if Gloria James has been seen out on the town with Dwyane Wade".

Do you think that if an "off the court" issue is causing a great player to have the worst game of his career at this stage of the playoffs that it becomes a relevant story to print?

I heard that too. Stephen A. Smith is a tool, and I wouldn't dismiss him entirely, (Smith seems to have good sources - wasn't he one of the first guys to call Lebron to Miami last summer?), but I'm not really buying this one. It's funny though, that was my first thought too: maybe it's his mom, she seems crazy.

I think that Lebron is so physically gifted that I think it puzzles people how he could be so passive. It's not the first time it's happened either. My theory about game 4 and the finals in general is simply that Lebron has been too willing to defer to wade because of the mismatch he has against kidd. It's ok to be unselfish and play smart, but I think he took it to the extreme and deferred way too much, to the point where he took himself out of the game and let dallas off the hook. He needs to find that balance between playing unselfish basketball while still being aggressive himself adn helping his team. He is unstoppable when he is in attack mode and going to the bucket. I don't think having spoelstra as the coach is helping matters. This team needs a coach with some credentials that can corral these guys and get them to play in a system that gets all of them involved. Phil Jackson and the triangle or even rick adelman and his motion offense would be scaringly perfect for this team.

Did he find out that his fiance was a con-artist and was in the process of scamming him while he was at a road game, and stand by while the police raided his home and had her arrested, then let the ***** rot in jail while he dropped 35/10 on the playoff opponent? Not likely
