By any reasonable standard, LeBron James would have been suspended for Game 7. He clearly left the bench to enter the scuffle.

Anybody think the NBA would keep him out of finale?

Other guys would have been suspended as well.

No suspensions would have been handed out. They would not tarnish a Game 7 with that kind of ticky-tack stuff considering there was a timeout already called. Way too difficult to judge that situation.

You never know- As JVG bitterly pointed out Ewing was suspended.

But still I would have been shocked if LBJ got suspended for game 7. You know David Stern had a sigh of relief with tonight's outcome after that debacle.

The NBA just announced that the entire Heat team has been suspended from Game 7 for getting their a$$ beat by Dirk and the Mavs!

Don't forget Amare got tossed in game 6 & 7 of the Sun, Spurs series for standing up and taking a step or to forward and Stern said a rule is a rule. But I have no doubt he would have looked the other way.

Personally think the players suspended would have been:

Mavs
Cardinal
Stevenson
**** possibly, but doubtful Chandler***

Heat

Chalmers
Haslem
Howard

Lebron was on floor before altercation. He went that way, but really didn't get involved. Cardinal and Howard came directly from bench to altercation. Haslem and Chandler are iffy. If one was suspended, then other would have been or vice versa

That Stoudamire suspension vs the Spurs was the one that I was thinking about.

That was ridiculous suspension. But 100% of the Spurs fans thought it was legitimate - "a rule is a rule". I actually seem to remember than there was a timeout then as well.

Same thing here. Several guys for each time went off the bench and out of their way to enter the scrap.

Would have been an interesting call. The TO would have given the NBA a great out, but with as tight as the bench rule is, I don't know how you could avoid suspending the guys that clearly changed direction to cross half-court with the intent of getting in the middle of the fracas - Howard and Anthony clearly went over to mix it up vs. break it up. LeBron crossed too, but you could tell his intent was different than Howard and Anthony.
