I will admit it, I can remember exactly where I was when I heard the trade for Dirk and was upset about getting a white Euro. Did not like the Tractor Pick either though, so I was not too upset.

I don't know, but that hat he has with Stern is pretty sweet.

Ill admit I thought they were out of their mind getting some goofy german to play alongside Pretty Boy Steve Nash. I guess that's why I don't work in basketball.

And many folks forget or are not aware that Dirk really struggled early on and it had nothing to do with his skills. He was 18 and very homesick. The Mavs were very worried that it wouldn't work out not because of his talent. He's said himself that it was sometime in his 2nd year until he felt somewhat comfortable.

Steve Nash was huge in getting Dirk assimilated to the area. They both sorta helped each other.

Instead of sitting around doing nothing during their downtime, they went out in Dallas and tried to enjoy life.

Poor Yankees has to see the Rangers destroy his Yanks and then the hated Mavs beat bron bron for the belt all in one year lolz jk.

Dirk has come a long way. I remember back in 01 or 02 he was almost unintelligible his accent was so thick, and now he almost sounds like a native Texan. Almost.
