Dirk is the subject of infinite photoshops and office-cooler jokes. Hated-rival Spurs fly under the radar, easily cruise through several teams, and punk LeBron in the Finals.

Part 2: Hated-rival Spurs lose to an 8 seed after a fantastic regular season. Mavs fly under the radar, punk Kobe, Durant, then LeBron and Wade on their home court. LeBron & Wade are the subjects of infinite photoshops and office-cooler jokes. Dirk wins Finals MVP.

Lots of synergy in the OP. I don't think the OP has a lot of synergous attributes, but everyone gets synergy every now and then.

I'm a Mavs fan, and lumping the Spurs in there ruins your synergy. This series wasn't about them just like in '06 it wasn't about the Spurs.

I agree that it wasn't about them, nor was it about them in 07. But it's just crazy how even that flip flopped...only two teams have lost to an 8 seed as a 1.

I don't think you people know what synergy means.

That's not really synergistic. The Mavs did have a lot of it though...the total output from this team really was greater than the sum of the individual parts. The Heat were the opposite of synergistic.
