Shaquille O'Neal is moving from the basketball court to the comedy clubs.
The former NBA All-Star, who announced earlier this month that he was retiring after 19 seasons, will be kicking off the first All-Star Comedy Jam tour on Sept. 9 at the Orpheum theater in Memphis as part of the Southern Heritage Classic.
"I played with many All-stars on the court and laughed with these All-stars off the court," he said. "I'm happy to present this hand-picked lineup as the first Shaq All-Star tour."
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at aeglive.com.
The tour will also be filmed live for a reality show called "All-Star Comedy Jam Backstage Pass."
