Feels good that the Mavs won the world championship a couple of weeks ago while you guys are getting giddy over 17 years ago. I'm sure I'll be doing the same thing 17 years from now if the Mavs don't get one between now and then.

First off congrats on the title well deserved. However one reason it's fun as a rockets fan to rekindle those memories about those back to back titles is because the game was so different back then. It was more fun to watch, the ticky tack bs foul calls wouldn't fly back then. The men actually played ball and it was a blast to watch. Even Jordan was quoted as to saying the game has become so soft that if he played in today's game he'd average 40 FTs a game. I miss pre 2000 NBA :-(. Nearly every finals were freaking a blast to watch.

I thought the '90's were the most boring basketball ever. The Rockets, Suns, and Bulls were fun to watch at times, but the inability of front-line players to hit open mid range jumpers basically turned the game into something more resembling a tractor pull than basketball.

I root for all three Texas NBA teams, including the Mavs. But I don't know a Mavs fans would go out of his way to post smack on this thread. The fact remains that the Mavs remain the least accomplished of the three Texas NBA teams.
