I agree on something like that, but I don't think Rudy will come right in and start. JJ will start at the 2 guard unless they start butler at 2 and start marion at 3. I think Roddy B is going to eventually start at PG in front of Jason Kidd, but who knows whether that'll be next season. My hope is that these guys start entering next year's postseason or at least get the majority of the playing time.
Roddy Beaubois
Caron Butler
Shawn Marion/ Jason Terry
Dirk
Tyson Chandler
Coming off the Bench or lesser minutes (I put it like this b/c i could see Kidd starting no matter how good Beaubois does) in this order.
Jason Terry/ Shawn Marion
JJ Berea
Rudy Fernandez(sleeper)
Stephenson (if he's there)
Brendan Haywood
Corey Brewer
And I don't think you necessarily have to find a power forward to back up dirk. As long as you have a center in there who can guard the other team's best post player, then you don't have to have some dude that's 6' 10" to fill in for Dirk when he leaves.
Butler and Marion could both play that position for a small lineup along with Cardinal in slighter minutes. Their lack of height would only hurt them on defense at the 4 is if they have to guard someone like dirk. On offense things would actually be to Butler and Marion's advantage with their quickness.
