This lockout sucks...

I was ready to give it two middle fingers, lean on college ball and embrace Hockey (with the Stars surging) and ride it out til Spring Training....like an alchy sippin on O'Douls.

No. NBA basketball has gotten out of control with average players making too much money and it's not as fun to watch as it was 10-15 years ago. I'm hoping the owners get things back under control and things improve because of the lockout.

I have season tickets to Aggie men's basketball again this year, so they will fill my need of hoops. Go Ags!

Very much so. To me the Fall is always synonymous with the start of the NBA season. It just feels empty now. I think I miss 'Inside the NBA' the most.

I usually don't watch a lot of NBA basketball until March or later, so not yet. The only reason I miss it is wanting to know if/how the Spurs draft picks are developing.

Yea it's really a shame. Anderson was looking really good in the summer leagues. It would also be interesting to see if Butler could make any noise. And I'm really anxious to see Leonard in Silver and Black. Sorry for the side track.

I don't care if the NBA never plays another game. All it does it takes the good players off my team.

No over the top PA guys and no crowds doing the tired "DE-FENSE" chant. Love it.

No point in watching NBA until after the NFL season, sorry but it is true. The need to have a schedule about 1/3 shorter. Start around Dec 15.

NBA preseason should be in December and the Finals should be in August.

NFL: August preseason, Season from September-Jan, FEB Super Bowl
NBA: December Preseason, Season from Jan-July, Finals in August.

PERFECT.

Why won't they do this? There is no good reason to have the NFL and NBA butting heads over seasons. And no one cares about baseball or Hockey.

Don't really miss it, though I'd rather this happen next year or the next so we could see how the Mavs respond to a championship. Everyone's just getting older.

I miss it. Last season was probably the most intriguing season since the Jordan years.

I miss it. The talent level is ridiculous right now and I hate that a lot of my favorite players are missing a year out of their prime and twilight years.

Kobe, Dirk, Duncan, Allen, Pierce, Garnett, all those guys will be a year older. I don't believe the idea that the year off will help them. Guys like that need competition.

As much as I don't like them, Miami will miss a crucial year if the season doesn't start back up. If there's no season, I think Wade will be 30 when it does start back up. 30!

Blake Griffin will have missed two of his first three seasons. That's 164 games of missed dunks.

Just a waste.

Yea, last season and the playoffs were definitely some of the most exciting/skillfully played basketball in a long time. Just about every team had a legitimate shot at going all the way.

Soccer has more than adequately filled the gap that basketball has left behind. For example, last week's helsea v. Union .. balahameh.. british city.. sumhwere... was amazing.

Nope, it has been great to have no basketball highlights taking up air time during football season.
