This won't happen. NY doesn't have any pieces to trade.

huh?

How about this:

NY gets: Paul

NO gets: Billups, Mason, Carter

I shouldn't say it won't happen. But it's not likely. They could get a third team involved with a player with the equivilant of Billup's salary that has mulitiple years left on their contract (like Al Jefferson) to make it somewhat enticing to the Hornets. But I think Paul will just have to wait until 2012.

ItalAggie i thought you spurs fans thought Mason was the second coming of jesus 2 years ago?

also, why in the world would the hornets just let Paul walk, if he's already said he won't sign an extension. is that comment a joke?

No. I grew frustrated with Mason actually when he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. And I agree that the hornets won't just let him walk. There is going to have to be some sort of salary dump from a third team if he wants to go to NY. But if you think NOLA will take two over aged point guards and a shooting guard with no confidence, you are sorely mistaken, even if the magical trade machine says otherwise.

Plus the best player in the deal, Billups, is a free agent after this season too. Not likely he'd stay with the Hornets.

Chris Paul to the Knicks. Dwight Howard to the Lakers. Welcome to the new NBA.

Never ever thought I'd say this: I'm very happy that the Mavericks won the championship last year.

No way NOLA does that without Eddy Curry.
