And rightfully so. Two good games in a row is almost a miracle for him.

His ppg dropped steadily throughout the season last year. If he can keep it up all year while helping open up the defense by driving, I'll be a believer.

New spurs always seem to do much better after year one, especially vets.

This would be year 3. Hopefully third times a charm.

Yeah, we'll see how he does as the season wears on. That being said, he does seem to have a new twist in his game. The 3-ball looks a lot more fluid with less of a wind up on his stroke. He must've put a lot of time in during the lockout. That's smart. I could see RJ being another Finley.. i.e. extend his career by becoming a legit 3pt shooter.

He may wear down but the Spurs need these early wins. Maybe by the end of the season Leonard or Anderson will be ready to play big minutes and maybe Manu will be back and healthy.

RJ is playing for pride right now.

I expect he will play his heart out for the SPURS.

There is no question he is the most physically fit SPUR at this point in the season.

He needs to step up if the Spurs are going to have a chance this year.
