Finally sucking enough to hopefully convince Alexander to completely start over. Rebuild the team around guys who are capable and willing to play defense.

This would be a good year to suck. Its a very strong draft class.

I haven't looked to see when the trading deadline is for the shortened season, but I would not be shocked if Scola and K-Mart are moved before that deadline. I do agree the Rockets will start over and I feel like they have some pieces that will get them something in return.

I think the trade deadline is in March.

Scola especially needs to be traded IMO. He's a lot like Loubeau: he can score against smaller PFs, but size dominates him and he's awful on D. Very savvy and one of the hardest workers out there, but will always be over matched against top teams with size.

Martin is a pure scorer, but gives nothing else. No rebounding, creating shots for others (assists), or defense of any kind. If I'm a team like Washington, needing scoring and veterans, Martin would be a guy to target.

Lowry, Parsons, and Dalembert are making our defense legitimate (or more so). While I hate to see us lose, we need to so we can get one of these studs in the draft. We're spinning our tires until we can get a legitimate star and better/bigger in the post.

Martin is not the guy for a team like Washington. You either put him on a doormat to fill a space (like all those years in Sacramento) or you put him on a team with a pretty good defensive PG and SF and good interior presence. Then you can make up his matador defense and just like him score and draw fouls.

Washington has a good defensive PG and SF. And is also a doormat.

Also I wonder if Adelman would take him in Minny.

Well, we're 2 games out of first place now. Not bad!

I know. How quickly things change. We'll end up getting the #14 pick again and prolong our status as non-contenders.

I guess you weren't paying close attention to our brutal early schedule. Should be 4 or 5 games left in this homestand, hopefully we can make a good run.

First 7 out of 10 games were away.

Now we are in a stretch of 9 out of 11 games at home.

Then we go 6 out of 7 away

Then 8 out of 9 at home

Then 7 out of 8 away

And so on.

HotardAg07, it wasn't the fact that we were losing. It was how we were losing. Our defense was pathetic. We replaced our two best defenders, Hayes and Battier, with two guys who can't defend, Hill and Budinger. But now Dalembert and Parsons are making our defense fairly legitimate.
