lose Odom
lose Vince Cancer
lose Terry
lose Kidd
amnesty Haywood
trade Marion's nasty contract without taking on much additional salary

....in order to be able to offer max contracts for both Howard and Williams

Lets say howard will need the max 19MM next year:

Odom has 8.2 million contract but has 2.4 guaranteed. Vince Carter’s 3.1MM has 2MM guaranteed.

After the Mavs give up rights to Terry, Kidd, and amnesty Haywood, that gives them 17MM to give Williams.

Please explain how/who the Mavs are going to shave off the additional 19MM in salary for Howard.

Marion has an additional 18MM+ left on his contract, with pieces like Brewer and Fernandez combining for over 7MM+ next season alone.
