Ok well Watson ran up in an aggressive manner, it's a bit different. You can let Dirk's go but you can't let Watson's go.

And yeh I did clarify that they are melting down emotionally not in a basketball sense, there is a difference.

It probably should have been a T, but I could see it being let go, especially since Dirk had just been slapped in the face.

To be fair to Utah since Favors ejection they've been fine. It was just a bad two minutes.

I agree Watson should have been tech'd up, especially since they called a tech on dirk for slamming the ball at the end of the half. But watson would have never got the tech called on him if they made the right called when dirk knocked the ball out of the jazz players hands. And he just didnt knock it out, he slammed it out, right in front of the ref.

Like I said it probably should have been a T on Dirk, and this is coming from a Mavs fan. But the refs probably were giving him as much leeway as possible not wanting to have to throw him from the game. I think the fact he'd just gotten popped in the face was the reason, if he hadn't taken the swipe they'd have probably ejected him.

They threw favors out of the game for barely throwing a ball.

The refs have been pretty brutal this game.

Dirk was being dumb. Unfortunately, you see that stunt about 3 times in every NBA game.

Watson was being much dumber. He chopped Dirk and not the ball. Plus he ran up to him like a pitbull chasing the mailman.

Favors barely through the ball? Nonsense, he threw it really hard. Childish. Especially stupid when you consider that he just committed a no-brainer foul. He had no reason to gripe.

Not sure why the announcers were praising Watson so much. Showing some backbone and leadership can be great. Looked to me like the Jazz fought back into the game and got the crowd in a frenzy. Then his fiery leadership gives the Mavs a technical. And he inspires a younger teammate to lose his cool. He gives up another free point to Dallas and gets ejected.
